Yangwon-ri is a village southeast of Mt. Gureung, in Mangu-dong. It is believed to have b een a stopover for kings of the Joseon Dynasty on their way to Geonwon Tomb of King Taejo. The village, which sits behind Songgok Girls' Junior High/High School, has been in habited by the Jeong clan originating from Dongnae, for over sixteen generations, or six hundred years. hence, the name Dongnae Jeong village, |
