Creating a shopping Area
To build a commercial center (either at Meokgol Station or Manguro)
To encourage organized collaboration among store owners through a merchants' association, promoting a sense of community and developing the area into a shopping area
To improve shopping conditions, hold cultural events that attract crowds, improve sidewalk and road conditions, and increase parking capacity
Certifying Excellent SME Products
To certify products manufactured by small and medium enterprises that have applied for
certification and have been endorsed by the Certification Steering Committee
Programs
- Special promotional and marketing events for certified products (through exhibitions and newsletter publications)
-To encourage large distributors (i.e., E-Mart, Carrefours) to sell certified products
Creating the No. 2 New Business Support Center
Location :392-4 Sinnae-dong(The old building of the Sinnae 2- dong office)
Size : A building of one basement level and two above-ground levels (92 pyong)
Plans
- To provide focused support to value-added businesses such as animation
- To install high-speed Internet connections (50 lines at 512K) to improve regional information infrastructure
- To increase the competitiveness of tenant companies by providing technical advice in collaboration with Seoul National University of Technology.
Strengthening SME Support Projects
New Business Support Center : To increase competitiveness of startups by establishing a collaborative system among businesses, academia, and government (in collaboration with Seoul National University of Technology)
Courses on how to start a businesss : Courses for small-capital businesses, SOHO, disabled persons (four times a year), and employees (once a year)
Low-interest corporate loans : To provide sixty firms with up to 100 million won per company at an annual interest rate of six percent.
Guest lecture program : Providing information and knowledge on the new economy through guest lectures by economic and financial authorities.
Product exhibitions : To hold two to three promotional expos a year jointly with local events, to maximize promotional effects |
